EnergWISE provides independent energy advice, helping homeowners better understand their energy use, reduce their bills, and make more informed decisions about their homes. This something widely supported by organisations like the Energy Saving Trust and also something that’s becoming increasingly important as energy costs continue to rise.

When they came to us, they needed a website that could present complex information in a clearer, more accessible way, while also guiding users towards taking action, whether that’s making an enquiry or exploring the right energy-saving options.

We designed and developed a modern, conversion-focused website that prioritises clarity, structure, and usability. The goal wasn’t just to improve how the site looked, but to make it easier for visitors to understand their options and take the next step.

Why this worked (and why most advice-based websites don’t)

Websites that focus on information-heavy topics often struggle with structure.

They include all the right content, but without a clear flow, visitors can quickly feel overwhelmed or unsure what to do next.

For EnergWISE, the key was simplifying the journey.

The new site makes it easier to:

This is the same approach we apply across our web development work in Poole and Bournemouth, where the focus is always on creating websites that support real user decisions, not just deliver information.

The impact

Since launching the new website, the difference has been noticeable.

Users are now spending more time exploring the site, engaging more with the content, and finding it easier to understand what actions they can take.

The website now properly supports the purpose of the service, helping users move from information to action.

From the client’s perspective

While we can talk about structure and results, it’s always more useful hearing directly from the people using the site day to day.

The EnergWISE team shared more about their experience working with a local web development company in Poole and Bournemouth, what changed during the redesign, and how the website is now performing for them.

If you want a behind-the-scenes look from their side, you can read their full write-up here.

They go into more detail on what wasn’t working before, what we changed, and the impact it’s had since launch, from their perspective.
